Village Ministry

Welcome to Corni (No, it's not a corny village. It is  pronounced Corn). We imagine that you found the last 8 miles over dirt roads more comfortable than the main roads which resemble potholes stuck together with tarmac.

Corni is a very poor village, perhaps the poorest we have ever visited. Most of the houses need attention to the roofing and there are no new houses.

No one in the meetings had smart clothes. Some of the ladies came in their slippers.

However the people are not "poor in Spirit." The church used to meet in the small home on the left. As the church outgrew his home the owner built the central building (behind the van). This became too small so he built the larger 'house'- with no partition walls-on the right.

He still lives in the smallest of his three houses. The rest he has given over to Jesus.
